When using our Services, you may voluntarily provide information about yourself, including your name, contact information, log-in information, and any other information you choose to provide. For example, we collect this information when you join our email list, create an account, leave a review, contact us, or interact with us for any other purpose. We may also collect your mailing and billing information when you place an order with us.
We may also collect information about your home relevant to your use of the App and Device. For example, we may collect your home address, IP address, Zip code, and home details when you register your Device with a Nuve account and log in through the App. With your permission, we may also collect your location when you are using the App. We may collect additional information about your use of the Device, including temperature settings, humidity, and device status.
When interacting with our Portal, we may collect information you choose to provide in your role as a contractor, such as your name, contact information, employer, log-in information, and any other information you choose to provide. If you have a Portal subscription, we may also collect your mailing and billing information as well as your activities inside the Portal.
We (and other entities) automatically collect information relating to your interactions with us and our Site, App, and Portal, including browser type, IP address, pages visited and other activities, device type, time and date of visit, and other information we collect through the use of cookies and similar technology. Nuve Controls LLC (“Nuve,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), provides this privacy policy to describe how we collect, use, and share the information of individuals who visit our website at www.nuvehome.com (the “Site”) or interact with us through our Nuve Mobile App (the “App”), Nuve Smart Thermostat (the “Device”), or the Contractor Web Portal (“Portal”) (collectively, the “Services”).

To facilitate your ability to service Devices and communicate with Device users;
To fulfill your subscription;
To allow you to access the Portal;
To respond to your inquiries, including questions about your subscription;
To provide Device users with information about you if you access data about their Device usage;

With your permission, we provide the contractors who service your Device with a web portal containing certain information about your Device for the purpose of maintaining and servicing your Device. Information shared through the web portal may include your name, Device ID, Device status, location data, environmental data, and diagnostic information. Environmental data may include temperature, humidity, ambient light, and air pressure, among others. These contractors are not covered by this privacy policy.
4. Contractor Web Portal
We may partner with ad networks and other ad serving providers (“Advertising Providers”) that serve ads on behalf of us and others on non-affiliated platforms. Some of those ads may be personalized, meaning that they are intended to be relevant to you based on information Advertising Providers collect about your use of the Site and other sites or apps over time, including information about relationships among different browsers and devices. This type of advertising is known as interest-based advertising.
You may visit the DAA Webchoices tool at www.aboutads.info to learn more about this type of advertising and how to opt out of this advertising on websites by companies participating in the DAA self-regulatory program. If you delete your cookies or use a different browser or mobile device, you may need to renew your opt-out choices exercised through the DAA Webchoices tool. We may also work with third parties that collect data about your use of the Site and other sites or apps over time for non-advertising purposes. Nuve uses Google Analytics and other third-party services to improve the performance of the Site and for analytics and marketing purposes.
